An MBTA bus carrying six passengers was involved in a motor vehicle collision outside Market Basket just before 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The other vehicle involved in the crash was a white 2009 Honda Accord.

The 54-year-old driver of the Honda was taken to a nearby hospital after reportedly suffering neck and back injuries, according to a statement from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Transit Police Department.

The Oct. 19 accident happened near the “Main Shopping Center @ Market Basket” bus stop, which is the end of the 70 bus “Outbound to Market Place Dr” route.

MBTA Transit Police Department Superintendent Richard Sullivan wrote in an email to The Waltham Times that the collision is under review.

The Waltham Times asked the Transit Police for further comment on whether any citations were issues or charges filed but have not yet had a response.
