Saturday, Dec. 7, was the last day of the growing season for the farm stand at Waltham Fields Community Farm. Photographer David Greenfield was on hand to capture scenes of families sorting through vibrant greens, potatoes, carrots, garlic and leeks under the slanting rays of the winter afternoon soon. Although the fall harvest season is done, the Beaver Street nonprofit is piloting a winter share program featuring root vegetables and greens.
