Waltham’s many nonprofit organizations work year-round to improve the lives of our neighbors.

And they welcome volunteers to help them in their missions.

The Times posted a list of organizations last week to aid any residents seeking volunteer opportunities this holiday season and beyond.

Here we offer a few more. (As you read, let this medley of favorite songs performed by David Rosen put you in the holiday spirit!)

Waltham Boys & Girls Club invites the community to help create cherished memories by donating new toys and gift cards suitable for children of all ages. Donors can also help make the holiday season special for families by contributing to a holiday meal. Volunteers are needed to help with all age groups in a variety of programs: athletics, arts, education, STEM, technology, music, teen and social recreation. These activities range from helping members with homework to playing games in the gym. Interested in coaching a volleyball team, teaching a yoga class, or chess? Help the Boys & Girls Club guide and inspire the next generation. For more information visit its website or contact Erin Donovan at edonovan@walthambgc.org or (781) 893-6620.
