Car crashes after driver reportedly suffered a medical emergency

Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of 550 Winter Street around 9:30 p.m. Thursday after receiving reports of a driver possibly trapped.

Upon arrival, first responders found that the driver was not trapped but required assistance after reportedly suffering a medical emergency just before crashing into a Bobcat with a plow attachment.

Waltham firefighters and paramedics assisted the woman out of the vehicle and transported her to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
