The Waltham Clothing Exchange thrift shop holds end-of-season clearance sale

The Waltham Clothing Exchange ends its spring season with a clearance sale on Tuesday, May 13, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

The sale will feature 18 racks of clothing for all ages and sizes along with shoes, purses and shelves of household items, picture frames, books, movies, toys, jewelry, puzzles, vases, small appliances, electronics and knickknacks.

Most items of clothing are $2 or less. Shoes go for $2. Household, sports, and electronic items sell for $1. Books, puzzles and DVDs sell for as low as 25 cents.

The exchange will close for the summer after the May 13 sale.

The Waltham Clothing Exchange is a consignment/thrift shop that has been open for more than 60 years. It is located on the lower level of the First Parish in Waltham, a Unitarian Universalist church. The shop is a church project that supports social justice and the environment and is volunteer run.

It is open on Tuesdays on a seasonal basis. It will reopen Sept. 16 for its 69th year. Shop hours will be Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with special Saturday openings.

First Parish is located at the corner of Church and School streets and is handicapped accessible. MBTA Buses have stops near the building, and the Waltham Senior Center bus will drop by on request.

Additionally, a National Epilepsy Foundation donation bin for clothing and other textiles is located on church grounds at the rear left side of the building.
