A summary of police activity from May 9 to May 15 is as follows:
On May 9 at 8:55 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured fox near the intersection of Chestnut and Newton streets. Officers were unable to locate the animal.
Indonesia Ortega, 21, of 124 Rockaway Parkway, Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested at 2:54 p.m. on warrants for vandalizing school property and destruction of property worth over $1,200. Additional details can be found in the latest Court Report.
At 4:03 p.m. police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Main and Newton streets. Officers responded to the area and did not find any evidence of a crash.
On May 10 at 3:14 a.m., police responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Lakeview Avenue. It was determined that residents were just entering their home late at night.
At 12:54 p.m. police responded to a report of threatening behavior at Extended Stay America at 52 Fourth Ave. A hotel guest fell victim to a scam and lost $380. The reporting party was convinced by an Instagram user to send a nude photo and was then blackmailed for the money. The victim was advised on the matter by officers.
At 5:10 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Second Avenue and Winter Street. A vehicle stopped at a red light was rear-ended by another driver. The operator who rear-ended the other vehicle was determined to be at fault.
On May 11 at 4:18 a.m, police responded to a report of an assault and battery at an address on Middlesex Circle. An argument between two people in a car turned physical. The involved parties chose not to press charges against one another.
At 10:18 a.m. officers were requested to stand by while a former guest of a residence on Middlesex Road collected personal items.
At 5:10 p.m. police responded to a report of a larceny at Marshalls at 126 Market Place Drive. A fraudulent purchase was made at the store using the reporting party’s credit card. The credit card had been missing since May 10. The incident is under investigation.
On May 12 Raul Corona-Olivares, 24, of 56 Lakeview Terrace, Waltham, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. for disturbing the peace, misdemeanor breaking-and-entering and two counts of destruction of property worth less than $1,200. Police declined to give further comment on Corona-Olivares’ arrest due to it being related to an alleged domestic incident.
William Wingerter, 35, homeless, of Waltham, was arrested at 6:46 p.m. for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and disturbing the peace.
At 7:35 p.m. police responded to a report of an assault and battery at Shaw’s Supermarket at 130 River St. An employee allegedly slapped a customer’s hand during an argument. No arrest was made. The customer filed a complaint with the store’s management.
On May 13 at 7:29 a.m., police responded to a larceny of a motor vehicle plate at an address on Myrtle Street. The rear license plate was stolen from the reporting party’s vehicle while it was parked overnight on that street.
At 3:12 p.m. police responded to a report of a larceny at a business on Crescent Street. The business reported that company-owned laptops had been stolen from its office. The incident is under investigation.
Arthur Carrozza, 44, homeless, of Waltham, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. for receiving stolen property worth less than $1,200, felony breaking-and-entering, larceny from a building and destruction of property worth less than $1,200. He was also arrested on warrants for intimidation of a witness or police officer, two counts of violating an abuse protection order and intimate assault and battery of a household or family member.
Joseph Stallings, 45, homeless, of Waltham, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. for receiving stolen property worth less than $1,200 and possession of a class B drug.
On May 14 at 8:49 a.m., police responded to a report of an unwanted guest at the Hilton Garden Inn at 450 Totten Pond Road. The guest was removed from the hotel before officers arrived.
At 11:06 a.m. police responded to a report of a larceny at Moe’s Southwest Grill at 831 Main St. According to a police spokesperson, Richy Cox, 28, of 9 Floyd St., Waltham, had tried to pay for food using a fake check.
As a result, Cox was arrested for forgery of a document and uttering a false check. He was also arrested on warrants for larceny of items worth under $1,200, a marked lanes violation, operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license and speeding.
On May 15 at 6:38 a.m., police responded to a report of a violation of city ordinances at 20 Cooper St. The reporting party complained that there were loud construction vehicles in the area. Officers could not locate the vehicles.
Kemuel Krow, 19, of 262 Crescent St., Waltham, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. for criminal harassment and disorderly conduct.
