Court Report: Waltham man faces assault and battery on a police officer charge
A Waltham man is facing a charge of assault and battery on a police officer in connection with a July 14 incident.
Shamil Hasanov, 27, of 284 River St., Waltham, pleaded not guilty to the alleged offense at his July 15 arraignment.
According to a police report, Hasanov allegedly shoved a police officer who was trying to put him into protective custody while he was under the influence of drugs.
Hasanov’s pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.
Other court actions
Chloe Chanial, 31, homeless, of Watertown, was released from the Waltham District Court on July 9 on the condition that she stay away from the other party involved in the case. Chanial pleaded not guilty to assault and battery on a family or household member and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The incident that led to Chanial getting charged took place at a Waltham residence on July 8. Her pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3.
Theodore Bless, 63, of 28 Twombley Ave., Billerica, was released from the Waltham District Court on July 9 on the condition that he appear for his pretrial hearing on Aug. 27. Bless pleaded not guilty to violating an abuse prevention order at his arraignment that day. Bless was arrested for the violation by the Waltham Police Department earlier that day.
Transito Lima-Perez, 23, of 83 Grant St., Waltham, had her charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license dismissed by the Waltham District Court on July 11.
