Indivisible Waltham hosts ‘No Kings’ rally Saturday
Indivisible Waltham will host a “No Kings” rally in Waltham Saturday, Oct. 18, as part of a nationwide day of action protesting policies and practices of President Trump’s administration.
The rally is set to take place 10:30 a.m. to noon along Main and Moody streets, adjacent to Waltham Common.

The local demonstration is one of more than 2,200 rallies scheduled across the country, according to Indivisible Waltham. Another major event is planned for noon to 3 p.m. the same day on Boston Common.
Organizers said they’re protesting what they described as the Trump administration’s authoritarian tactics and cuts to federal support for health care and nutrition assistance.
“This country is ruled by the Constitution, not a king,” said Diana Young of Indivisible Waltham. “Our job is to remind President Trump and his enablers that he is an elected official, not a monarch.”
Organizers emphasized that the “No Kings” rallies are committed to nonviolent action. Participants are urged to de-escalate confrontations. Organizers said people should not bring weapons, including those permitted by law, to the events.
Indivisible Waltham is an all-volunteer local group affiliated with Indivisible, a national nonprofit founded in 2016 to resist Trump-era policies.
