Waltham seeks election workers for Nov. 4 vote
The City Clerk’s Office is seeking registered voters to serve as election workers for the upcoming Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Workers must be registered to vote in Massachusetts, able to read and write English, and available from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on election day. “Dedication, efficiency, patience and friendliness” are considered valuable traits for applicants, the City Clerk’s Office states on its website.
Three paid positions are available. Wardens, who supervise polling places and ensure election procedures are followed, will earn $200 for the day. Clerks, responsible for recording election proceedings and assisting the Warden, will earn $195. Inspectors, who check voters in and distribute ballots, will receive $185.
All election workers will be paid for a short training session and will play a direct role in helping Waltham residents have a smooth voting experience.
Applications and W-9 forms are available on the city’s website and should be returned to the City Clerk’s Office, 610 Main St., Waltham, MA 02452. Forms may also be submitted by email to vmaluf@city.waltham.ma.us or faxed to 781-314-3130.
