Vehicle crashes into construction machinery on Saturday night

Emergency crews responded to the area of Newton and Clinton streets around 11 p.m. Saturday night after a vehicle struck a piece of construction machinery parked along the side of the road. The impact caused the vehicle’s airbags to deploy.

The driver was evaluated by paramedics and transported to a local hospital as a precaution. No serious injuries were reported, and the crash is under investigation.
