Urgent: snow emergency parking ban starts Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Due to the major snow storm set to hit Waltham Sunday afternoon, the city has issued a snow emergency parking ban starting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.

Trash and recycling collection for Monday, Jan. 26 will also be delayed one day and picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

While the parking ban is in effect, parking is not permitted on any Waltham street. For residents who don’t have a designated driveway, cars can be parked in municipal or school lots. However, cars must be removed from school lots within two hours and from municipal lots within 24 hours of the ban being lifted.

Snow emergencies and parking ban updates are communicated via Waltham’s new emergency notification system. Residents can sign up and get city-wide alerts and urgent notifications via phone, text or email.
