Firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze early Sunday, March 8, that damaged a single-family home on Circle Drive.

Crews were called to 111 Circle Drive at 12:25 a.m. and arrived to find heavy fire showing from a one-and-a-half-story house, with flames visible from the garage and roof, fire officials said. A second alarm was struck shortly after arrival, bringing additional firefighters and equipment to the scene.

Crews rescued a 47-year-old man trapped inside the building, helping him maneuver through a window and transporting him to the ground via a ladder for a medical evaluation. The sole casualty of the fire was a dog who was found deceased inside the house.

Firefighters stretched several hose lines to attack the flames while police secured the area. The fire was brought under control after an extended effort. After a complete investigation, the official cause of the fire is undetermined.

UPDATED March 10, 2026, at 2:25 p.m. Additional reporting by Cyd Abnet. Details were added and the address of the fire was corrected from 109 Circle Drive to 111 Circle Drive.
