50th Anniversary of Minutemen Toastmasters of Waltham

Dear Editor,

Minutemen Toastmasters of Waltham this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. It is part of Toastmasters International, a global community of over 13,800 clubs that began in 1924.

The aim of Toastmasters International and all its member clubs is to provide a judgement-free space where members can practice public speaking, take on club or leadership roles and learn to speak confidently.

Minutemen Toastmasters of Waltham is a small club comprising members in the workforce as well as those who are retired. Members find it rewarding to share their experience and gain insight into areas with which they are not familiar.

The club meets virtually on the first Thursday of the month and in-person in a hybrid setting on the third Thursday at Meadow Green Rehabilitation and Nursing Center off Trapelo Road in Waltham. The meetings are posted in the Waltham Times calendar.

We’d welcome new members and wanted to get the word out. To see how a typical Toastmasters meeting turns nervous speakers into confident communicators, you can visit a meeting of Minutemen Toastmasters of Waltham. All are welcome!
