The recently closed Taste House restaurant at 275 Moody St. is set to become an Asian fusion restaurant under new owners.

The License Commission approved requests for the transfer of a seven-day all-alcohol restaurant license, the transfer of a common victualer license and the change of manager from the former Taste House restaurant to J & C Kitchen.

A J & C Kitchen representative said the restaurant will feature both Japanese and Chinese food. The restaurant is co-owned by the manager and an additional business partner, who have worked together previously and have a combined 30 years of experience in restaurant and service industries.

It is unclear when the restaurant will open.

The owners of Taste House retired after buying the storefront and will rent the space to the new restaurant.

  1. That’s a shame. The Sichuan food at this place was fantastic. Best of luck to the new operators, fingers crossed they’ll have dan dan noodles on the menu!
