Public Safety Watch: Waltham men arrested for unarmed robbery and drug charges

Police arrested two Waltham men in connection with an alleged robbery on July 6.
At 4:43 p.m. police responded to a report of a past robbery near a Russell Street residence.
According to a police spokesperson, Victor Ventura-Flores, 23, homeless, of Waltham, and Selvin Ventura-Flores, 29, of 626 Moody St., Waltham, had allegedly robbed an individual of $50 to buy cocaine.
When the victim threatened to call the police, Selvin allegedly threatened to back his vehicle into the victim.
The pair was later pulled over and arrested at around 6 p.m. Selvin was arrested for unarmed robbery, possession of cocaine, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and intimidating a witness. Victor was arrested for possession of cocaine and unarmed robbery.

A summary of public safety activity from July 3 to July 10 is as follows:
On July 3 at 8:05 a.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at Staples at 800 Lexington St. Two shoppers had convinced a cashier to hand over an incorrect amount of money as change. The store lost $460. The incident is under investigation.
Around 5 p.m. police responded to a report of an assault and battery at Scooter Mutter at 108 Elm St. Owners of the business and another individual got into a physical altercation over an advertisement for a moped. One party claimed that the advertisement was for his moped, which had been stolen out of Cambridge. Officers de-escalated the situation and advised the parties to seek charges through the Waltham District Court.
At 6:45 p.m. police responded to a report of a package theft at a Moody Street residence. The reporting party had ordered an office chair and initially could not locate the package but later located the item at a different address.
On July 4 at 3:37 a.m., Jose Lopez-Lopez, 26, of 16 Garden Lane, Waltham, was arrested for having a suspended vehicle registration, driving while under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.
Around 8 p.m. police responded to a report of an assault and battery at a Winter Street residence. Two people had gotten into a physical fight over the use of a reserved parking spot. The incident is under investigation.
Wilser Montoya-Sandoval, 22, homeless, of Waltham, was arrested at 9:16 p.m. for trespassing and disorderly conduct.
On July 5 at 3:39 a.m., Stacey Gaudet, 53, of 16 Winter St., Waltham, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
At 1:18 p.m. a Fire Department engine responded to a report of a fire at a Washington Avenue residence. Upon arrival, the Fire Department determined that a dryer had caught fire. Firefighters evacuated the building and extinguished the blaze.
At 11:23 p.m. police responded to a report of gunshots on Morton Street. Officers determined that the noise was likely caused by fireworks.
On July 6 at 10:06 a.m., Amanda McGadden, 30, of 142 Ridge Lane, Waltham, was arrested on a warrant for larceny of over $1,200 by a single scheme.
At 11:47 a.m. police responded to a report of a larceny at a Curtis Street residence. Officers determined that the reporting party’s potted plant had been stolen. The reporting party was unable to provide any information on a suspect.
On July 7 at 2:07 a.m., police responded to a report of a missing person at a residence on Prospect Hill Road. The missing 15-year-old was located later that day.
At 9:37 a.m. police responded to a report of a break-in at the Christ Church Episcopal at 750 Main St. Officers determined that the reporting party had mistaken nearby construction noise for a break-in.
Jorge Najera-Carias, 31, of 109 Pine St., Waltham, was arrested at 10:49 a.m. on warrants for driving while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
Sean Kearney, 49, of 1130 Main St., Waltham, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. for shoplifting.
Zimu Zhang, 31, of 70 Hope Ave., Waltham, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. for breaking and entering and refusing to identify himself to a police officer.
Kheri Mtani, 44, of 410 Lexington St., was arrested at 9:10 p.m. for assault and battery of a person who is over the age of 60 or disabled.
On July 8 at 4:25 p.m., Rudy Wynn, 53, of 112 Northampton St., Boston, was arrested for shoplifting.
At 6:13 p.m. a Fire Department engine responded to a mulch fire near CVS at 12 Harvard St. Firefighters determined that the blaze was minor and quickly extinguished it.
On July 9 at 9:47 a.m., police responded to a report of property vandalism at a Middlesex Circle residence. Someone had keyed the reporting party’s car. The reporting party was unable to provide officers with information on a suspect.
Theodore Bless, 63, of 28 Twombley Ave., Billerica, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. for violation of an abuse prevention order.
Griffin Swanson, 44, of 7 Prospect Hill Ave., Waltham, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. on warrants for unlicensed and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
On July 10 at 6:57 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint at a Middlesex Circle residence.
