The Waltham Traffic Commission advised residents to plan ahead if they will be driving near the Piety Corner intersection this Saturday, Nov. 9 as they can expect significant traffic delays in the area (Lexington Street, Totten Pond Road and Bacon Street).
“Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes, if possible,” the commission advises.
The City of Waltham website offers the following background on the project: “Crews will be reconstructing the Piety Corner (Lexington St/Totten Pond Rd/Bacon St) intersection. The city acquired the property at 380 Lexington St to accommodate the widening of the intersection. These updates will improve overall safety & mobility, improve vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian accommodation and accessibility, and improve the existing infrastructure.”
