Waltham man pleads not guilty to multiple charges, is ordered to stay away from alleged victim until his hearing
O’Keif Mark, 23, of 293 Grove St., pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and battery on a family/household member, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment of a child and malicious destruction of property under $1,200, at his arraignment on Sept. 15. Mark was arrested for the alleged offenses on Sept. 14 by the Watertown Police Department after an incident the previous day. He was released on the condition that he stay away from the alleged victim and their child and stay 100 yards away from the victim’s home or work. His Lavallee hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30.
Lavallee protocol hearings have been implemented in the wake of the public defender work stoppage in Massachusetts that started on May 27. According to the protocol, if defendants who qualify for public defenders are not provided a lawyer within 45 days, their cases will be dismissed.
Wendy Mills, 46, of 1 Ledgewood Way in Peabody, pleaded not guilty to charges of driving while intoxicated, a failure to signal and a violation of marked lanes at her arraignment on Sept.15. Mills was arrested for the alleged offenses on Sept. 14. Her Lavallee hearing is scheduled for Oct. 30.
Cyrille Bourque, 35, of 107 Middlesex Road., pleaded not guilty to charges of a subsequent offense of the operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt at his arraignment on Sept. 17. Bourque was arrested for the alleged offenses by the Waltham Police on Sept. 16. His Lavallee hearing is scheduled for Nov. 3.
