Waltham City Council will be hosting a public input hearing about Waltham’s new plan to comply with the MBTA Communities Act: a zoning amendment called the MBTA Communities Multifamily Overlay District (MCMOD). This plan would legalize housing as dense as eight units per building on land close to Waverley Station (along Waverley Oaks Road and Thayer Road) and on land close to Brandeis/Roberts station (at Charlesbank and the adjacent office park).
