Gore Place gives back to the community with free tours on Dec. 19 

Gore Place will open the doors of its historic mansion to the public Friday, Dec. 19, for a day of free tours showcasing the Federal-era estate in holiday splendor.

Tours begin on the hour at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. and last about 45 minutes. No reservations are required.

Visitors will explore the 1806 home of Christopher and Rebecca Gore, which features festive decorations by Farmer Scott, a newly repainted office, and views of the winter landscape. The on-site gift shop will offer handmade crafts, ornaments, and holiday cards.

Gore Place, located at 52 Gore St., is accessible via the MBTA 70 and 70A bus at the Warren Street stop. Free parking is available in the main lot by the Carriage House, with accessible parking available at the mansion. The grounds remain open daily from dawn to dusk.
