Frankenstein: What does it mean to create?

Oct 31. @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us for a Frankenstein-themed story time and activity hour. This hands-on drop-in program is designed specifically for younger mad scientists to engage with questions of invention and creation.

Activities:

  • Franken-storytime: Read-aloud of Frankenstein-themed books for young readers.
  • It’s Alive!: Create your own monsters with a piece-by-piece papercraft activity or coloring sheet.
  • Mad Machines: Discover how historical industrial breakthroughs paved the way for modern-day innovations in a demonstration of our machine shop.
  • Candy Hunters: Complete a quick scavenger hunt to receive a candy bag.
  • Fire Engine Photo Op: Take photos on Waltham’s original 1871 steam pumper fire engine!

This program is costume optional, so come as dressed up or down as you want. Kids should plan to come with an accompanying adult, and we hope to see you there!

This event is free with museum admission.
