William H. Guerin, 1941–2025

Bill Guerin

William H. Guerin, Jr., of Waltham, died May 3, 2025, in Delray Beach, Florida. He was 84.

Bill was born in Waltham on March 3, 1941, the eldest child of the late William H. Guerin, Sr., and Adelaide W. (Kooiman) Guerin, and was a decades-long resident of Waltham. He was a graduate of Newton North High School and Fitchburg State University. An electrical engineer and engineering manager by profession, he spent the entirety of his long career at Raytheon at various locations in Massachusetts.

Throughout his decades in Massachusetts, Bill enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and participating in golf tournaments at the Wayland Country Club. For several years, he was a member of the Watertown Yacht Club. He and his family had been longtime parishioners of Saint Joseph’s Church in Waltham.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Yvonne C. (LeBlanc) Guerin, who died April 2, 2018, he is predeceased by their son, Daniel P. Guerin. He leaves his children, Stephen M. Guerin, Cheryl A. Dempsey, and William B. Guerin, all living in Palm Beach County, Florida; his grandson, Joshua W. Clarke, and many nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will honor and remember Bill’s life by gathering for a Morning Wake on Saturday, June 7th from 10 – 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. A memorial service will be held at 11 am. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
