Nicole Lynn Kunzig, 1972–2025

Nicole Lynn Kunzig of Waltham passed away at home on Friday morning, May 23, 2025, at the age of 52.

Born on December 4, 1972, in Tarrytown, New York, Nicole was the daughter of Richard and Mary Lou (Lopano) Kunzig.

Nicole graduated from Bentley University with her bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1995. She began her career as a professional organizer by starting her own business.

Nicole had many passions in life including basketball, nature, photography, and her love for animals. Basketball had a special place in her heart. Nicole took to the game at a young age and was named to the Junior Varsity team in her freshman year of high school. She continued to be an avid and devoted player and was later named team captain in her senior year.

Nicole is survived by her loving mother Mary Lou Kunzig and her devoted sisters Lisa Kunzig and Pia Assad. Additionally, she is survived by her beloved dog Buddy.

Family and friends were invited to gather in celebration of Nicole’s life during a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, on Thursday evening, May 29, at 5:30 p.m.
