High School nordic ski team “try-it” day

This event is open to Waltham and Weston students who will be in grades 9-12 in fall 2026.
You’ve seen Waltham’s Julia Kern race in this year’s Olympics. Follow in her tracks with your high school cross country ski team!
This Saturday, Feb. 28, 10:30-Noon, we will have a ‘try it’ recruitment day for next winter (2026-2027). Leo J. Martin ski track, 190 Park Road, Weston—10 minutes from school. We will give a lesson then play games on skis, followed by pizza and snacks.
No experience necessary. Bring gear if you have it, but gear and trail passes will be provided. RSVP so we know to expect you (and for more info).
Arrive by 10 a.m. if you will need skis for this event.
Leo J. Martin makes snow—we ski all winter, regardless of the natural conditions. Get outside next winter! Learn to ski and have fun!
