Learn the fundamentals of journalism by attending The Waltham Times‘ Journalism 101 class, taught by Anne Donohue, an award-winning journalist, a public radio producer and a retired associate professor of journalism at Boston University. This program, designed to be engaging and interactive, will take place at the Waltham Public Library lecture hall on Saturday, Nov. 23, 1 to 4 p.m.
Whether you’re a budding journalist or simply curious about the field, this class will provide valuable insights into the craft of storytelling, ethics in journalism and the importance of a free press.
In preparation for the class, we recommend you read The Elements of Journalism, a brief classic text valued by professionals and the public alike. It can be bought for $12.59 in paperback or $5.49 on Kindle.
Bring a notepad and pen or a notebook device, as we will have a mock press conference so you can try out your newly-developed journalism skills.
Please register here by Nov. 21.
