Join The Waltham Times team on Thursday, April 9, as we celebrate Local News Day, a nationwide event recognizing the vital role of local newsrooms in delivering fact-based, accountable journalism to communities.
We’re marking the occasion with two informal gatherings. Join us for lunch or after work to meet members of our newsroom and volunteer team for lively conversations about Waltham’s stories and what local news means to you. Share your ideas for local coverage!

Shoppers Café, 731 Moody St. — 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Light lunch served.
Mighty Squirrel Taproom & Bar, 411 Waverly Oaks Road — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Light refreshments. Cash bar.
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than spending time with you.
