Pro-democracy rally

April 5 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Free

Indivisible Waltham and Waltham Concerned Citizens will hold a pro-democracy rally at the corner of Main and Moody Streets on Waltham Common, as part of a national movement to protest the unconstitutional actions of the Trump administration, including the gutting of services, firing of federal workers, shutting down of essential agencies, ignoring court orders, deporting legal immigrants, targeting enemies and threatening allies.

The theme for this protest is “Hands Off”, which encompasses messages such as “Hands Off Veterans Services!”, “Hands Off our Data!”, and “Hands Off Social Security!”, among others.

For more information, email Martin Lessem at mlessem77@yahoo.com or call him at (610) 247-9647. At the rally, please seek out any staff member wearing a yellow lanyard.

Indivisible Waltham is a local chapter of the national Indivisible movement, which is driven by a vision of a real democracy of, by, and for the people. The Indivisible movement is a network of thousands of local groups and millions of activists across every state working to build an inclusive democracy by fighting for bold, progressive policies and creating lasting grassroots power. Waltham Concerned Citizens has been thinking globally and working locally for peace and justice since 1981.
