Santa Parade and Holiday Lighting

The Santa parade will begin at 2 p.m., proceed through the neighborhoods of Waltham, and end at City Hall at 4 p.m. Mayor McCarthy along with the Waltham Fire and Police Departments will be taking Santa Claus around the city to say hello and bring a smile to the citizens of Waltham. Check the city website for a complete list of streets that Santa will be driving by.

The holiday lighting festivities will begin on the common at 3 p.m. with Reagle Players dancers and singers, American Legion Band, and WHS Show Choir kicking off the fun with some holiday classics as they wait for Santa to arrive at 4 p.m., when the common will be lit up with the flip of a switch. Waltham Salvation Army will be serving hot cocoa. Parents make sure to bring your cameras to take your child’s photo with Santa.

Santa’s mailbox (provided by the Waltham Women’s Club) will be set up on the common for children to leave their letters to Santa during the holiday season. Deadline to submit letters is Sunday, December 14, to ensure a response from Santa before Christmas (be sure to leave a return address on each child’s letter).
