Join The Waltham Times for a lively virtual Community Forum on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 7–8:30 p.m. and be part of a conversation about how local news can help bring neighbors together. This special evening is also a heartfelt thank you to the readers and supporters who made our first year possible.
Our guest is Paul Solman, longtime economics correspondent for PBS NewsHour and a nationally recognized storyteller whose work has earned multiple Emmys, Peabodys, a Loeb award and a James Beard award for media. He will join us in a timely discussion on rebuilding community in an era of deep division and share insights from the American Exchange Project, which connects young people across geographic and cultural lines.
During the forum, you’ll get an inside look at The Waltham Times’ first-year milestones and what’s ahead in our strategic vision for 2026. You’ll also take part in an open Community Story Conference, where you can pitch ideas, surface concerns and help shape the stories that matter most to Waltham residents.
Pour your favorite cocktail, mocktail or cup of tea, put on your favorite festive outfit and log in for an evening of reflection, candid conversation and connection. Together, let’s celebrate the power of independent local journalism and imagine what Waltham’s story can be in the year ahead.
This Zoom event is free, but you must pre-register to attend.
