Weaving on a loom

Visit the Carriage House at Gore Place for an extended 3-hour Traditional Skills Workshop* and try your hand at weaving on a loom! Each participant will create 4 woven coasters (aka “mug rugs”).

Weaving expert Beth Guertin will guide you in how to use a four-shaft loom to weave the warp into multiple twill patterns and a plain weave. After the workshop, Beth will bring the weaving home to do the final felting and cutting process, then return the mug rugs to Gore Place the following Saturday to be picked up at your convenience.

All supplies will be provided.
