SUMMARY:Concert in the Carriage House: The Beet Boxers
DESCRIPTION:Half Past Four / The Beet Boxers is an old-timey string quartet that plays American roots music especially tunes from around Appalachia. Featuring banjo\, fiddle\, guitar\, mandolin\, and hurdy-gurdy\, the band delivers a mix of toe-tapping instrumentals and soulful songs. Rich vocal harmonies and a solid groove make for fun that strictly shouldn’t be legal. \nThis concert takes place in the beautiful 1793 Carriage House at Gore Place. Parking is free.

SUMMARY:Buttons and Bows at Gore Place
DESCRIPTION:Buttons and Bows (Jimmy Kelly\, banjo\, guitar\, vocals; Gwen Johnston\, fiddle) grew from the session culture in Boston. Jimmy and Gwen first met at Fiddle Hell. They found common ground at the Druid Pub in Cambridge over their shared love of traditional\, Old-Time\, and Bluegrass tunes (plus any song that can make them laugh). They are both working on solo albums and Jimmy Kelly’s music can currently be found on all streaming platforms.
