SUMMARY:Bike Together Waltham—September evening group ride

After riding a short segment in Weston\, we will return to Waltham for a group dinner on Main Street or Moody Street. \nPlease have front and rear bike lights as it will be dark. \nThere’s an update on bringing Bluebikes to Waltham. At the May 19 Economic & Community Development Committee meeting (10:05 timestamp)\, Councillor Colleen Bradley-MacArthur requested that traffic engineer Mike Garvin research bike share options in the region. \nEngineer Garvin met with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council over the summer\, who will be presenting at the next traffic commission meeting this Thursday at 10 a.m. at City Hall (item 2T of the agenda). He will suggest to the commission that they approve a recommendation to the council committee that Waltham join Bluebikes. (The council committee\, and then full council\, and finally mayor would need to be on board to make Bluebikes in Waltham a reality.) \nCouncillor Robert Logan will also be speaking in favor of Waltham joining Bluebikes.
