A minimum of eight participants is required. \nDec 22 – The Mishnah as Oral Law\nJan 5\, 2026 – Turning to the Talmud\nJan 26 – The Legal Codes\nTwo Feb dates (TBD) – The Hasidic Masters and Modern Jewish Theologians\nMar 9 – Jewish Feminist Theologians\nMar 23 – Poetry and Creative Midrash\nApr 6 – makeup session \nAll classes will meet in person (or on Zoom in case of inclement weather). \nThis class is funded through a Hadar Community Group grant\, a program to foster engagement around Jewish study and practice. Please note that there are TWO different departure times and locations. \nFolks wanting a longer hike on various paths through the park should leave from Craft Food Hall at 200 5th Ave at 12:30 p.m. Those seeking a shorter trek either along the paved (not plowed) service road or via steep trails should depart at 1 p.m. from the park’s South Gate near 186 Prospect Hill Road. Park on roads in the neighborhood and be mindful of driveways and “No Parking” signs. Please carpool if possible. \nRegardless of where you leave from\, be prepared to walk on slippery paths that may have rocks\, roots\, and challenging terrain. Both groups will meet at the accessible vista point of Little Prospect for fabulous views of Waltham below and Boston in the distance. \nDress for the weather; cancelled in very cold temperatures or if precipitation is falling. Well-mannered\, leashed dogs are welcome.
