SUMMARY:Waltham Forward neighborhood walk-a-thon (Rangely Acres)
DESCRIPTION:Waltham’s next regular municipal Election Day is Tuesday\, November 2nd\, 2027\, so from March 2026 to October 2027 I plan to walk to-and-thru every neighborhood in Waltham at least once as part of a 20 month Waltham Forward Neighborhood Walk-a-thon. A key part of this walk-a-thon is that it will be in person\, in real life\, and (mostly) offline! \nFor this event\, I am going to casually stroll thru the Rangely Acres neighborhood (south of Main Street and north of Grove Street). We will start by the playground of Lowell Field Park on Grove Street between 10:45 and 11:00 a.m. before making our way into the neighborhood. \nRSVP @ WalthamForward.com/walk. \nThe Purpose of the Walk \nAs we walk\, we will document potential infrastructure improvements\, obvious accessibility issues\, and likely safety concerns that ought to be addressed by the city. \nWe will also share a petition about the city website’s lack of ADA compliance and — more importantly — we will be on a listening tour to get to know our neighbors better.

SUMMARY:Waltham Pride: Show up & celebrate together
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to share that our group will have a table at Waltham Pride this year for the first time. We’ll be there connecting with new people\, sharing what we do\, and representing our community\, and we’d love for you to be part of it. \nIf you enjoy talking to people and believe in our mission\, the group needs your help tabling at this event. Engage with the Waltham community\, share information about our events\, and let’s boost outreach about us. We can take breaks so everyone has a chance to go and enjoy the event\, to manage materials\, to chat with attendees about their interests and to invite people to join our group or one of our upcoming events. \nWhether you’re part of the group or an ally\, showing up matters. Community events like this are a powerful way to support LGBTQIA+ visibility\, connection\, and belonging in Waltham. \nFeel free to stop by our table\, say hello\, and help us build something meaningful together. We hope to see you there! \nPlease note: This is a private event for members of this Meetup community group who RSVP in advance. For safety and group flow\, walk-ins and guests who are not on the RSVP list will not be able to join the event. We love meeting new people\, just make sure to RSVP through the Meetup or Heylo group ahead of time so we know you’re coming.
