SUMMARY:Home werk: A drag tour
DESCRIPTION:Like the work of artists Roy Lichtenstein\, Hugh Hayden\, and Catherine Opie on view at the Rose this fall\, the art of drag blurs lines between “high” and “low” culture\, offering alternative aesthetic sensibilities\, inspirations\, and creative practices. Everyday subjects are brought into conversation with art historical references to address what we consider taboo\, how media shapes our lives\, and how we construct identity. \nJoin Rose Art Museum for an after-hours interactive tour featuring costumed interpretations of works on view by local drag artists Paxx Headroom\, Psyclops\, and Forrest Fleur. Visitors are encouraged to dress inspired by the works on view. \nRegister
