The price is only $75 for current WLT members\, $85 for non-members\, and $40 for folks under 40 years old. \nThis year we are thrilled to have live in person\, Paul Rishell and Annie Raines! For 31 years Paul Rishell and Annie Raines have been hailed as one of the world’s best blues duos. From 2011 to 2022 they worked as visiting artists in the American Roots Music Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston\, teaching Country Blues techniques and history to new generations of aspiring musicians. They continue to perform American roots music and their own compositions at festivals\, concert halls\, and clubs all over the world.

Well-behaved\, leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on this edition of the Lyman Estate landscape tour. Enjoy the outdoors together while learning about the fascinating history of the grounds. \nLandscape and horticulture were always integral to the estate. This site was home to pleasure grounds\, formal gardens\, a working farm\, greenhouses\, and woodlands for over four generations of the Lyman family. See how the grounds have changed over time and explore that which has remained intact in spite of it. \nMember $15; Nonmember $20. Please call 617-994-6672 for more information. \nTour will meet at the front door of the mansion and will run rain or shine. The greenhouses\, one of the oldest surviving complexes in the country\, will be open 9:30-4:00 and participants can visit before or after the tour. \nAccessibility Considerations: This outdoor tour involves traversing uneven surfaces and some stairs for 90 minutes. \nThe Lyman Estate landscape tour will also be offered on June 21\, July 19\, August 16\, September 20 and October 18.

DESCRIPTION:A free day of family fun with live music\, food trucks\, community art\, and more! \nCharles River Watershed Association (CRWA) will host its 2025 Herring Festival\, a family-friendly event celebrating the annual migration of fish from the ocean into the Charles River\, on Sunday\, May 18\, at the Watertown dam. \nThe event is free to attend and will feature communal art making\, food trucks\, indigenous speakers and dancing\, guided tours of the Watertown dam\, a live fishing demonstration and fun activities for all ages. \nEach spring\, the Charles River becomes a vital spawning ground for numerous fish species such as Alewife\, Blueback Herring\, and American Shad. These fish and their annual migration hold cultural significance to the Massachusett\, Wampanoag\, and Nipmuc nations—the past\, present\, and future caretakers of the Charles River and its watershed lands. \nThis is CRWA’s second annual Herring Festival and is part of the nonprofit’s 60th Anniversary Meet Your Watershed event series. Through the steadfast support of dedicated citizens in the watershed\, CRWA has made great strides toward a healthy and resilient Charles River since its formation in 1965.
