DESCRIPTION:Exercise is an important part of the recovery process when one has experienced a stroke. This talk will focus on what the research says about why exercise is important and what kinds of exercise are beneficial to improve one’s day to day function. \nThis health workshop is a continuation of the Community Outreach Program spanning a variety of health diagnoses\, presented by Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine – Waltham Physical and Occupational Therapy Department. DESCRIPTION:Recharge at the Rose with yoga at Chris Burden’s permanent installation\, Light of Reason (2014)\, in front of the museum’s entrance. Led by Brandeis Fitness Coordinator Kat Page\, this yoga workshop is free and open to people of all fitness levels. Bring a water bottle\, yoga mat\, and workout attire (a yoga mat can be provided with advanced notice). \nThis program is free\, but registration is capped at 40 participants. \nWill be canceled in the event of inclement weather. \n
