SUMMARY:Thursday Tours of the Golden Ball Tavern Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join the Golden Ball Tavern Museum on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for tours of the museum. You will learn about six generations of the Jones family living in this house for 200 years and the unique role that the tavern and Isaac Jones played during the Revolutionary War—including the visits from British spies\, Paul Revere’s men and a Weston Tea Party. Experience life as it was lived in the colonial era—our museum is filled with hundreds of artifacts that belonged to the Jones family. \nYou can also visit our 2026 exhibit “Lost Liberties – Broken Promises\,” a yearlong exhibit focusing on the enslaved\, indigenous\, displaced Loyalists\, and veterans of Weston who were on the wrong side of history. \nThis exhibit is sponsored by Mass Humanities and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. \nThursday Tours admissions. Members: Always free! General admission: $15\, Senior (65+): $12\, Under 18: Free.

SUMMARY:'Elaborate Procedures' — An evening of films and poems by Derek Jenkins & Eugenia Zuroski
DESCRIPTION:AgX is pleased to present “Elaborate Procedures\,” an evening of films and poems by Hamilton\, Ontario-based artists Derek Jenkins and Eugenia Zuroski. \nThrough simple procedures – observing\, writing\, filming – both artists open up unexpected ways of relating to the world. Rather than treating the camera as a tool for documentation\, Jenkins approaches filmmaking as a relational practice\, using flowers\, landscapes\, and shared acts of image-making to foster connections between people. Zuroski’s poems likewise begin with close observation\, weaving the natural world and everyday life into incisive reflections on language\, history\, and the systemic structures that shape our experience. Together\, their works create a thoughtful dialogue on how we inhabit\, perceive\, and remember the world around us. \nThe screening will be followed by an in-person conversation with Jenkins and Zuroski. Programmed and moderated by AgX member Lilan Yang. \nThis screening is free with a suggested donation of $5 – $20.
