DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Frankenstein-themed story time and activity hour. This hands-on drop-in program is designed specifically for younger mad scientists to engage with questions of invention and creation. \nActivities: \n\nFranken-storytime: Read-aloud of Frankenstein-themed books for young readers.\nIt’s Alive!: Create your own monsters with a piece-by-piece papercraft activity or coloring sheet.\nMad Machines: Discover how historical industrial breakthroughs paved the way for modern-day innovations in a demonstration of our machine shop.\nCandy Hunters: Complete a quick scavenger hunt to receive a candy bag.\nFire Engine Photo Op: Take photos on Waltham’s original 1871 steam pumper fire engine!\n\nThis program is costume optional\, so come as dressed up or down as you want. Kids should plan to come with an accompanying adult\, and we hope to see you there! \nThis event is free with museum admission.
