SUMMARY:Painting en plein air at Gore Place
DESCRIPTION:Join a free gathering at Gore Place to create art and meet other artists. \nThe event will start at 5 p.m. at the Biergarten with introductions. Participants can then stay and paint with the group or explore other vistas around the grounds. We’ll gather again at 7 p.m. to share our work. Food and drink are available for purchase at the Biergarten. \nNo instruction is provided at this program. Participants are expected to bring their own art supplies and are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket as there is limited seating at the Biergarten. \nRain or shine. If it’s rainy\, we’ll gather under the Biergarten tent. \nFree\, but registration is appreciated.

This interactive puppet show is both fun and funny; you’ll be in stitches by the end! The sessions are recommended for 3- and 4-year-olds\, but all are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the sweet corn season during the annual corn roast at Gore Place\, the historic estate in Waltham. Enjoy roasted corn freshly picked from local farms\, dance to old-timey music by the Ruth and Ben String Band\, have some Frosty Boston ice cream\, and browse for books at the Waltham Public Library Bookmobile. Also available that evening is the ever-popular Mighty Squirrel Biergarten! The event is free to attend. Guests pay for food and drinks à la carte. \nBring a picnic blanket to stay and enjoy the music or you can take away. This is a great way to support local farms\, local food and your local museum. \nFree parking.
