In her talk\, Jennifer Rose will discuss how she and other writers have approached the task of adapting Austen’s work. She will also read from her manuscript\, Her Persuasion\, a contemporary version of Austen’s Persuasion\, in which the long-estranged lovers are two women. \nJennifer Rose is the author of two books of poetry\, as well as a writer of creative non-fiction. She serves on the JASNA Massachusetts steering committee. \nJASNA members $10 | Non-members $15\nStudent memberships are free through 2025 in honor of Austen’s 250th birthday.
