DESCRIPTION:Indivisible Waltham and Waltham Concerned Citizens will hold a pro-democracy rally at the corner of Main and Moody Streets on Waltham Common\, as part of a national movement to protest the unconstitutional actions of the Trump administration\, including the gutting of services\, firing of federal workers\, shutting down of essential agencies\, ignoring court orders\, deporting legal immigrants\, targeting enemies and threatening allies. \nThe theme for this protest is “Hands Off”\, which encompasses messages such as “Hands Off Veterans Services!”\, “Hands Off our Data!”\, and “Hands Off Social Security!”\, among others. \nFor more information\, email Martin Lessem at mlessem77@yahoo.com or call him at (610) 247-9647. DESCRIPTION:Get ready for another fun parade around the city! You’ll be able to track Santa’s progress via the Waltham Fire X (Twitter) account on the day of the event. The parade will conclude at Waltham Common\, where the annual holiday lighting festivities will begin (~4:30 p.m.). Waltham Show Choir will perform some holiday classics\, while Waltham Salvation Army serves hot cocoa. \nAfter the common is lit (~5:00 p.m.)\, there will be a special appearance by Santa! Parents make sure to bring your cameras to take your child’s photo with Santa in the gazebo. \nCheck the city web site for the up-to-date route and information on tracking the parade in real time.
