DESCRIPTION:Waltham Fields Community Farm (WFCF) and GROW (Green Rows of Waltham Community Gardens) are teaming up to support the City of Waltham’s annual citywide clean-up initiative. \nWe’re focusing on the roadside area bordering WFCF and GROW’s community garden plots (Beaver Street & Linden Street)\, as there is a significant amount of litter from the roadway that has become entangled on the fence and brush. \nWe welcome all to visit us\, learn about the farm and gardens\, enjoy the spring weather and help beautify our community! We will take a short tour of the Farm to identify dye-plant materials that can be foraged\, and visit the experimental dye garden to experience the cultivation of dye plants first-hand. \nParticipants will be taught how to prepare cellulose fabric (cotton/linen) to receive natural dye and participate in making their own dye baths…
