Saturday, April 19 — Summer Preview with Gusty Winds

Southern New England finds itself firmly in the warm sector. Highs soar to 77–80°F across MetroWest and the Merrimack Valley. A few lucky inland spots could even tag 82°F if morning clouds give way to sun. Breezes from the southwest at 12–18 mph may gust to 30–35 mph, especially across the higher terrain. A very isolated early morning shower can’t be ruled out, but most of the day remains dry. Saturday night is partly to mostly cloudy, with a low around 55°F and a light west wind.

Friday, April 18 — Breezy and Mild

High pressure exits early, allowing southwest winds to ramp up by midday. Expect increasing sun with highs reaching 66–68°F inland.

Thursday, April 17 — Pleasant and Seasonable

A fair and tranquil day with a mix of sun and clouds. High pressure holds firm, allowing highs to climb near 58–60°F. Winds will be lighter and more variable. A calm, springlike day overall.

Wednesday, April 16 — Breezy and Cooler, Mostly Sunny

Cooler air filters in from the west behind the front. Skies turn mostly sunny, though breezes from the west at 10–15 mph with gusts to 20 mph add a bit of a chill. Highs reach the mid-50s, but it will feel cooler in the shade or during the windier moments. Dry and crisp Wednesday night with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Tuesday, April 15 — Mild with a Few Showers Possible

Clouds thicken ahead of an approaching cold front. Expect intervals of sun, especially early, with scattered afternoon showers possible after 2 p.m. South winds at 6–12 mph, gusting to 20 mph will help boost highs into the mid-60s. Most areas stay dry until evening. Tuesday night turns cooler behind the front, with partial clearing and a low near 41°F.

Monday, April 14 — Brighter and Warmer

A much-needed break from the gloom. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with light northwest winds shifting to the southwest. Dry air and high pressure support a mild afternoon with highs near 60–63°F. A perfect day to get outdoors. Monday night turns partly cloudy and seasonable, with a low around 45°F.

Sunday, April 13 — Damp Start, Drier Finish

Lingering coastal low pressure keeps skies mostly cloudy and the air cool. Morning may bring isolated showers or patchy drizzle, especially east of Route 128. Expect improving conditions by afternoon with a few breaks of sun possible, especially inland. Winds from the north at 8–12 mph with gusts to 20 mph help dry things out. Highs reach the upper 40s to near 50°F. Sunday night features gradual clearing with a low near 40°F.

Saturday, April 12 – Windswept Rain and Chill

A classic spring nor’easter-type setup brings steady, moderate to heavy rain through the late morning and afternoon. Periods of rain could be heavy at times, especially midday. Winds increase from the northeast at 10–15 mph with gusts 20–25 mph, especially in open areas and near the coast. Highs hover in the low 40s, with little temperature movement during the day. Expect 0.5–0.75”+ of rainfall across the area. Showers taper slowly Saturday night but may linger into the early morning. Low near 38°F.

Friday, April 11 — Gray and raw

Low clouds, damp air, and a biting northeast breeze dominate the day. Expect spotty light rain or drizzle mainly during the morning hours, especially north and west of I-95. Cloud cover remains stubborn throughout the day, and temperatures struggle to climb, reaching only 42–45°F. Winds from the east-northeast at 6–10 mph add to the raw, chilly feel. Friday night remains overcast with rain likely developing between 4–6 a.m., especially in southeastern Massachusetts. Overnight lows fall to around 37°F.
