DESCRIPTION:“I like to create objects that look like furniture\, or are furniture-like\, and have these anthropomorphic or bodily elements. Placing familiar forms into another context leads to a heightened awareness of ourselves and how we interact with the world.” \nArtist Hannah Levy merges organic and industrial materials to craft visceral hybrid sculptures that evoke human or animal forms\, fashion\, and medical apparatuses. In conversation with Henry and Lois Foster Director and Chief Curator Dr. Gannit Ankori\, Levy will explore how her practice complicates everyday objects into uncanny encounters\, inviting viewers to reexamine the relationship between the body and human-made environments.
