A community pays tribute to Ryan Shread

Family, friends, classmates and teammates of Ryan Shread gathered at Leary Field to honor his memory on Tuesday evening. The Waltham High School junior died this past weekend. His loved ones came together to reflect on his life and the impact he had on those around him and released white balloons as a symbol of remembrance.

Ryan’s football team stood alongside his family, showing the strength of the Waltham community during this difficult time. The outpouring of support is a testament to how deeply he was loved and how greatly he will be missed.
