From hissy to huggy, a Cat Connection success story

Tempeh and Fluffy.

We are over the moon to share a heartwarming update on two of our beloved boys, Tempeh and Fluffy.

Found separately as strays, these two didn’t start their journey with much faith in humans. When they first arrived, they were the definition of “spicy” — hissy, growly and deeply unsure of the world. But as we often see at The Cat Connection, a little time and a lot of love change everything.

Fluffy (now Odin) surprised everyone by becoming a world-class snuggler from minute one in his forever home, sleeping curled up with his adopter on the very first night. Tempeh (now Loki) took the scenic route, needing a bit more time to realize he was safe. Now Loki’s days of hiding are officially over. He actively asks to be petted and loves nothing more than hanging out with his BFF Odin and his favorite human.

Their adopter says it best: “I’m the lucky one. They have healed my heart. When I lost my Khufu over the summer I was devastated, but these two have made my house a home again. It is so rewarding to watch a shy cat finally decide to trust you.”

Meet Squash and Gravy

Squash and Gravy.

If Loki and Odin’s story touched your heart, we have the perfect opportunity for you to reap those same rewards. We are looking for a special home for Squash and Gravy, two scrumptious sisters who are ready to fill your life with love.

At 18-months-old, this stunning black cat duo has undergone an incredible transformation. Like Loki and Odin, they arrived shy and undersocialized. But through the patience of a dedicated foster family, they have started their search for loving human companions.

Gravy is a total “people-cat” in the making. She has become her foster family’s devoted shadow, sleeping at the foot of the bed and offering gentle hand licks if she feels she isn’t getting quite enough attention.

Squash took a little longer to find her courage, but she is now a total sweetheart. She is a certified “purr machine” who will actively seek you out for head scratches and cuddles.

These sisters will thrive in a calm, predictable environment with no other pets and no children.

Squash and Gravy are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They are the ultimate reward for a patient adopter who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for.
