Weekend weather update
Waltham continues to ride spring’s rollercoaster this week as the region sees a back-and-forth between warm, moist air and cooler, drier systems. Friday brings a taste of spring sunshine and mild temperatures before a sharp cooldown and soaking rain arrive over the weekend. A brief warm-up Sunday gives way to another unsettled and seasonably cool stretch heading into midweek.
Here’s the weather forecast from Friday, April 4 to Friday, April 11 by Meteorologist Matthew Moll of New England Weather Consulting. Updated April 6.
Waltham continues to ride spring’s rollercoaster this week with a mix of showers, brisk breezes, and fluctuating temperatures. After some lingering rain early Sunday, drier and seasonable conditions return by afternoon. A wintry mix arrives late Sunday night into Monday morning, briefly bringing snowflakes even near the I-95 corridor before tapering to rain and drizzle. A sharp cooldown follows as a strong cold front ushers in blustery, March-like weather for Tuesday and Wednesday. Milder air returns Thursday into Friday, but so do the clouds and a renewed chance of showers to close out the week.
