The Waltham Times calls for volunteer opportunities in the community

The Waltham Times invites local nonprofits in Waltham to share their year-round volunteer opportunities for a special holiday season listing. The Times aims to connect organizations seeking volunteers with community members interested in giving back, with listings to appear in upcoming issues.
Nonprofits are encouraged to reply to NonprofitNews@walthamtimes.org by Dec. 1 with the following details:
- Organization name
- Available volunteer roles (seasonal or year-round)
- Location and hours for volunteer help
- Email and phone
Organizations should also include direct contacts for follow-up questions from The Waltham Times.
All submissions received before the Dec. 1 deadline will be considered for publication.

Love this idea.
I also think it would be great to also have opportunities for HS students to make money raking leaves, baby sitting, reading to and visiting with housebound folks. Just helping folks with tasks etc. Let’s find informal ways to bring young people into community with adults of all ages. Some simple guidelines for accountability to ensure mutual respect, all help to rebuild a culture of connection and appreciation for each other. YAY Waltham Times! Finally the vehicle we need.
Thank you for creating and encouraging this opportunities for neighbors to help neighbors — one part of what makes this paper so special.
