Tractor-trailer catches fires on Route 128 in Waltham

The cab of a tractor-trailer truck caught fire on Route 128 South at Exit 43B in Waltham on Tuesday. Local emergency crews used foam to knock down the fire, which stalled traffic on the highway. Emergency personnel also notified environmental protection officers due to the fire’s proximity to the nearby Cambridge Reservoir.

  1. I drove by that truck before the fire department arrived. The heat was intense. I hope no one was hurt.
