State Police cruiser involved in crash on Totten Pond Road

Waltham emergency crews responded to the area of 314 Totten Pond Road for a reported two-vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.

When crews arrived, it initially appeared that a Massachusetts State Trooper was assisting at the scene. However, it was later determined that the trooper was one of the drivers involved in the crash.

Both the trooper and the other driver signed patient refusals. Airbags were deployed in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
